12:26. וַיֹּאמֶר יָרָבְעָם בְּלִבּוֹ עַתָּה תָּשׁוּב הַמַּמְלָכָה לְבֵית דָּוִד ׃

12:26. כו ויאמר ירבעם בלבו  עתה תשוב הממלכה לבית דוד

12:26. וַיֹּאמֶר יָרָבְעָם בְּלִבֹּו עַתָּה תָּשׁוּב הַמַּמְלָכָה לְבֵית דָּוִד׃

12:26. ‏וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יָרָבְעָ֖ם בְּלִבּ֑וֹ עַתָּ֛ה תָּשׁ֥וּב הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה לְבֵ֥ית דָּוִֽד׃

12:26. Jeroboam then thought to himself: "Now the Davidic dynasty could regain the kingdom.

12:26. Jeroboam thought to himself, "Unless I am careful, the kingdom will return to the dynasty of David.

12:26. And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now will the kingdom return to the house of David:

12:26. and Jeroboam saith in his heart, `Now doth the kingdom turn back to the house of David --

12:26. Jeroboam said to himself, "If the people keep going to Jerusalem to offer sacrifices at the Lord's Temple, someday they will want to be ruled by their old masters. They will want to be ruled by King Rehoboam of Judah. And then they will kill me."

12:26. Jeroboam said in his heart, Now will the kingdom return to the house of David:
